almost forgot my love of poetry

I love poetry.

I don't know exactly what it is about poems.

Maybe its the fact that by saying so little, you can say so much.

Or the fact that you can say exactly what you are feeling,

but hide it cleverly in an sculpture of carefully place vocabulary.

I used to write poems all time.

It was just so much easier then keeping a journal.

I could document my thoughts and feelings while creating a masterpiece.

I almost forgot how much I loved poetry writing poetry.

I've always loved reading it,

but I forgot how writing poems made me feel alive.

This little video helped me to remember.

Maybe I'll start writing again, but I'll definitely be sharing some of my favorite poems.

My favorite part would have to be:

"You will put the wind in winsome, lose some.

You will put the star in starting over, and over."

Dusk and Summer

Wow...

I am a horrible blogger!

This girl has always been my inspiration for keeping a blog

because she just so dang witty and clever and gorgeous

gah!

BUT now that it is finally summer break,

and I have nothing to occupy my time,

I'm going to blog so much you'll be sick of me!

Here's just a short list of things I'm excited for this summer:

1. Matthew's two week break in May
2. Rock climbing everyday
3. Late night Sonic runs
4. Movie/TV series marathons
5. More time for the gym
6. Swimming

Just aced my Physical Science midterm.

new beginnings

Like the new look?

Yeah, me too. It makes me all giddy inside every time I pull it up.

Remember how I said that I wanted yellow and grey as my wedding colors. Yep I've changed my mind. Today the colors are grey and different shades of purple. And I really think that this is going to be it!

Thoughts? Complaints? Opinions?

I really hope you don't hate it cause I think I am falling in love with this palette.

sorry i don't blog more.

i have so much fun living life that i forget to share with the rest of you.

dear future hubby,

three months couldn't come soon enough.

i can't wait to have you home even if it's only for a little while.

dear school,

so far you have not been as bad as last semester.

lets keep it that way or we are going to have major problems.

dear camera,

i was so excited when i got you and now i have completely neglected you.

i'm sorry and i will use you more because M is craving pictures.

Things I Learned From the Midnight Showing of Harry Potter

1. Quinlan only dates models... and crazy girls..... or crazy model girls. He thinks it's cause they are attracted to his amazing artistic abilities (but we all know it's the hair! see here)
2. You should never leave the line to go get french fries cause as soon as you do, the whole theatre will go in without you
3. We aren't very good at 20 questions (asking the ?'s or thinking of good things for people to guess)
4. A fondue pot is not a crock-pot
5. Cami is not very good at sitting still for three hour movies
6. I'm super excited for the last movie to come out and hopefully I'll get to watch it with Matthew :)

P.s If you are looking for some Harry Potter humor this is sure to make you laugh :)
